U.S. Domestic Jet Fuel Analysis

Commentary:

Crude oil prices are once again climbing to reach seasonal peaks in July and August. Currently, July is averaging nearly $73 per barrell (last year peaked at $74.37).

Jet fuel spot prices have reached $2.16 per gallon, 2 cents lower than the previous year. Slightly lower yr/yr spot prices should keep actual domestic airline fuel prices a few cents below last years peak of $2.08.
